Do not upload a partner, friend, client, model, public figure, child, or anyone else—even if you claim they consented. Do not use an output to impersonate, shame, sexualise, exploit, or mislead anyone.
1. Agreement, operator, and eligibility
These Terms govern the Lace Riot mobile application, website, and related features (the “Service”). The Service is operated under the Lace Riot name (“Lace Riot”, “we”, “us”). Contact: contact@laceriot.com. By installing, accessing, purchasing through, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering this agreement in your location. The Service is not directed to children. If local law requires a higher age for a particular feature or transaction, that higher age applies.
2. What Lace Riot does
The AI virtual try-on combines a photo of you with either a selected catalogue outfit or, for active subscribers, a custom garment photo and description. Lace Riot sends the two images and server-generated instructions (including the custom description when used) to fal.ai to produce a synthetic preview. Product search sends OpenAI only the catalogue outfit image—not your personal photo—together with search instructions, trusted catalogue context, and a pseudonymous safety identifier.
The Service may provide a catalogue, AI image generation, local saving, visual product search, and links to independent websites. We may improve, replace, limit, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, provider availability, fraud prevention, maintenance, or product development.
3. Strict own-photo rule
- You may upload only a current photo that shows you and that you took or lawfully selected.
- The photo must show one clearly adult person. Group photos and photos with another person visible in the background are prohibited.
- Photos of partners, family members, friends, clients, models, public figures, deceased people, or any other person are prohibited, regardless of claimed permission.
- Photos of children and people whose age cannot reasonably be assessed as 18 or older are prohibited.
- You represent that you have the necessary rights to every file and description you submit and that their use does not violate privacy, publicity, copyright, trade mark, or any other right.
- A Custom Outfit garment reference must show clothing alone or you; it must not show another person, a child, or private or confidential material.
If we cannot reasonably determine that these conditions are met, we may reject the request, disable a feature, remove associated data, or suspend access. Technical acceptance of a file does not mean that we have approved its legality.
4. Prohibited content and uses
You must not upload or create nudity, pornography, sexually explicit or exploitative material, non-consensual intimate imagery, hate, threats, graphic violence, unlawful content, or anything depicting or suggesting the sexualisation of a minor. Adult underwear looks may be used only for neutral, non-erotic fashion visualisation with opaque coverage of intimate anatomy.
You must not use the Service or its outputs for deepfakes, identity impersonation, fraud, defamation, harassment, blackmail, deceptive advertising, false evidence, facial recognition, evading safeguards, unauthorised automated scraping, reverse engineering prohibited by law, training a competing model without permission, or violating another person's rights. If sharing an output could make someone believe it is authentic, clearly label it as AI-generated or AI-edited.
5. AI results can be wrong
The model may alter your face, body, skin, hair, proportions, hands, pose, lighting, background, identity details, or other elements—even when instructed to preserve them. It may add, omit, or distort details and can produce strange, stereotyped, unwanted, or offensive content.
An output is not a body measurement, 3D scan, identity record, health assessment, attractiveness rating, or reliable representation of you. It does not predict size, pressure, coverage, transparency, comfort, quality, colour accuracy, construction, or fabric behaviour. It is not medical, psychological, legal, employment, financial, or purchasing advice and must not support a high-impact decision.
Always verify the actual product, size chart, measurements, materials, photos, seller, price, availability, delivery terms, and returns policy. Use independent judgement and never draw conclusions about your body, health, identity, attractiveness, or worth from an AI output.
6. Subscriptions, credits, billing, and refunds
If the Service offers a paid plan, the applicable App Store or Google Play purchase screen controls the final price, currency, tax, billing period, number of generations, trial terms, and renewal terms shown before you confirm. An auto-renewing subscription continues until cancelled through the relevant store before renewal.
Custom Outfit is available with either active weekly subscription and consumes one try-on credit per completed generation. Visual product search is available only with an active 100 try-ons/week subscription. It is subject to a configurable daily quota; the current production default is five search request attempts per UTC day, resetting at 00:00 UTC. A request may count once the server reserves quota even if a provider later fails or returns no useful result. We may adjust the limit prospectively for cost, capacity, reliability, abuse prevention, or provider changes, subject to mandatory law and any notice legally required.
Apple or Google processes payment and applies its refund process, subject to your non-waivable rights. We receive transaction or entitlement information, not your full payment-card details. A completed generation attempt normally consumes a credit. If the server receives no result, it is designed to restore that credit, but we cannot promise that any retry will succeed or produce a particular result.
Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancellation normally stops future renewals without removing access already paid for. Instructions and official refund links are on the Support page.
7. Your content and the technical licence
You retain any rights you hold in your person photo, custom garment reference, and custom garment description. You grant Lace Riot and the processors needed to provide the feature a limited, non-exclusive licence to transmit, technically copy, process, and display the material only to perform your request, secure and support the Service, investigate abuse, respond to your request, and meet legal obligations.
Generative systems may produce similar or identical results for different users. We do not guarantee exclusivity, copyright protection, or that an output is free of third-party rights. Your use of an output remains your responsibility. The Service's code, interface, brand, catalogue, and original materials remain protected.
8. Providers, search results, and independent sellers
Fal.ai, OpenAI, Apple, Google, hosting providers, and linked sellers are separate organisations with their own terms and privacy practices. A search result or link is not an endorsement, guarantee, or representation that an item is identical to the selected outfit. Search can misidentify a product, brand, price, availability, or seller.
Lace Riot is not a party to your transaction with an independent seller and does not control its products, descriptions, delivery, returns, security, or conduct. Review the seller's information before purchasing.
9. Availability, security, and changes to the Service
The Service is provided in its currently available form. Queues, interruptions, errors, lost sessions, expired external URLs, model changes, or provider outages can occur. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility, generation time, recovery of a result, or that a specific feature will remain available. Save locally any result you want to keep.
Do not attempt unauthorised access, evade rate limits or safety filters, interfere with infrastructure, test another person's data, exploit vulnerabilities, or manipulate credits. We may apply reasonable limits, fraud controls, blocks, and security measures.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We disclaim warranties that may legally be disclaimed, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy. We do not warrant a specific AI result, real-world fit, sizing, identity preservation, or the accuracy of third-party listings.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lace Riot is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive losses; lost profits or data; decisions made from AI outputs; changes in self-perception; unsuitable purchases; seller conduct; or loss of an externally hosted result.
These exclusions do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer guarantees, statutory privacy rights, liability for fraud or wilful misconduct, or any other protected claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived under the law of your usual residence.
11. Suspension, termination, and updates
You may stop using the Service at any time; cancel any subscription separately through the store. We may reject, restrict, suspend, or terminate access for a Terms violation, risk to a person, fraud, legal demand, technical necessity, provider restriction, or discontinuation of the Service. Where law requires, we will provide appropriate notice or a route to challenge the decision.
We may update these Terms. We will change the effective date and provide additional notice or request renewed acceptance where legally required. An update does not remove rights already accrued or mandatory protections.
12. Applicable law and disputes
Applicable law and forum are determined under mandatory consumer-protection and conflict-of-law rules. We do not use these Terms to deprive a consumer in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, or elsewhere of non-waivable protections or access to a court or regulator that the law guarantees.
Before starting a formal dispute, email contact@laceriot.com with enough information for us to investigate, but do not send a sensitive photo, password, sign-in code, or full card number. This informal step does not shorten or waive any legal deadline or right.
